Chapter 2

My dream emerged from normal, into something that gave me chills down my spine. I saw the glimpse of shadows from the Robanians. Seeing the memories of myself back on the same spaceship, trying to help people off.

However, it eventually changes to something unfamiliar. Almost like a vision of something coming. I saw the shadow and outline of a humanoid figure, standing about 3 feet taller than me. It had a very muscular appearance, with very large hands, arms, legs, and head. I couldn't see its physical appearance.

That's when I heard the voice of the headmaster from the spaceship. I couldn't see him, only hear him. "You are making a big mistake, boy. Wait until he arrives, you won't be able to save your species then." The vision stopped and I arose from my bed in near panic.

I felt myself holding the sword in my left hand. I didn't know how, as I didn't recall myself reaching for it. Though, I decided to not question it. I examined the room thoroughly, but didn't find anything. Peter wasn't in the room, so I was alone.

I checked the sword to see if there was anything off about it. Luckily, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary, nor did the symbols show any sign of change. My nerves relaxed and I lay down on the bed again. I sigh in relief.

As I rested my head, I checked the clock. That's when I grew in panic. The time read, "9:21 AM." I curse under my breath and instantly begin to dress myself in a hurry. "How long was I fucking asleep?" That's when I noticed the odd silence in the room, reminding me of Peter. "Where the fuck is Peter?! He was supposed to wake me up!"

When I got fully dressed, and got everything I needed. I rushed toward the door and opened it. Though, I was greeted by an unexpected face. It wasn't a teacher, but rather one of Peter's football members. "Hey there Floyd."

I stopped in my tracks and looked into his eyes. "Oh, woah. Hey, uh. . ." I forgot his name as I never personally talked to any other football players besides Peter.

"Names Reggie." He informed me.

"Oh! Right, hey Reggie. What's up?" I saw Reggie's facial expression, and his two other members standing behind him. They all had the faces of slight annoyances and concern.

"You've seen Peter? He was supposed to meet up with us earlier." Reggie asked, before the member behind him spoke up.

"We've been waiting for twenty minutes man."

I shake my head. "No, I don't know. Usually when my alarm doesn't go off. He wakes me up."

Reggie gets disappointed, but nods in understanding. "I see." The same member behind him spoke up again.

"I don't suppose you know where he might be, do you?" Reggie nods in agreement, all three meeting my eyes.

"I don't, I'm sorry." I say with complete honesty. "I'm late for class, but if I see him. I promise to tell him you guys are looking for him." I get past them and close the door behind me, before starting to head to my class.

"Alright, thank you Floyd." Reggie says, before they begin leaving themselves.

~ ~ ~

After school hours have completed. I headed to the junkyard to wait for Peter to arrive. Though, as I waited patiently for him. I noticed on my phone that it has been an hour already. Not only that, but no new texts from him. I tried to message him a couple times, but each message got ignored. It's almost as if his phone was turned off.

I was beginning to get worried for Peter. I felt like something bad had happened to him. These thoughts reminded me of Peter's friends from earlier. Their comments about Peter not showing up as scheduled made me even more concerned. So, I decided to send one last message to Peter, before getting up on my feet and heading back to the dorm room.

As I started to head back to the dorm room. I sighed in disappointment from the confusing behavior of Peter. He has never done this before. Even when he slept with women, he never ignored messages, or even his game. So, this entire case was completely off to me.

When I got back to the dorm room, my eyes widened in surprise. The door was slightly opened. The light from within was also on. I could just barely see a silhouette moving inside. I reached my hand back toward the handle of the sword. I grabbed the handle and slowly pulled it over my head and in front of me.

I walked up to the door and leaned in, holding the handle even tighter in my hands. "Peter?" I called into the room. Instantly, the figure inside panicked. I could hear mumbles from the figure inside, now moving more erratic. Before I could walk inside, the light shuts off and the movement inside seizes.

I froze, waiting for the figure to come running through. However, after three minutes of nothing happening. I decide to reach my hand up to the door and carefully open it. I keep my hand tight around the sword's handle as I get ready to slice at anything inside.

Then, when I felt ready. I jump into the room quickly and held my sword upwards. I used the energy of the sword to light up the entire room in a bright light blue glow. The room was more easily visible from it. However, I saw no figure anywhere inside.

That's when I saw a note lying on my bed. I remain cautious of my surroundings as I slowly walk over to my bed. When I got close enough, I use my left hand to pick up the note and lift it up to read. I kept the sword tightly in my right hand.

Upon reading the note, I noticed that the handwriting was very neat. "If you want to see your friend again, you'll find us from the spot where you've retrieved the sword. We'll be waiting." After finishing reading the note, I reread the note and began thinking to myself. I didn't know what the note meant by re-retrieved. Unless, the note was meaning the grassy field up near the farms.

After thinking about it for a second, I started to fully believe that, that was where it was leading me. I placed my backpack down onto the bed, folding the note up and putting it into my pocket. Then, with the sword still clenched in my hand. The blue energy wrapping around it, with barely much glow to it.

I begin making my way off the campus. Rushing off the campus, I keep the sword tight in my hand. By the time I get to the sidewalk, I look both ways. Then, I take the sword in my hand and feel the energy rushing through the sword. Eventually, the energy of the sword begins to go through me and my veins. The energy started to make me feel like the world around me was slowing down. Not only that, but the aurora around me glowed bright light blue.

I watched as the cars, the people, the birds, and even the wind started to come to a near halt. When I felt ready, I began to run at extreme speeds toward the grassy fields. Flying past the cars and the objects around me, it felt amazing. Barely taking a couple of minutes, I finally arrived at the exact place where I got the sword back. Upon observing outwards on the grassy field, I didn't notice much out of the ordinary. Though, that’s when I looked north of the grassy field. That’s when I saw the remains of another spacecraft in the distance.

This peaked my interest, making me use my speed from the sword’s energy to head straight to it. Within seconds, I would walk up to the spacecraft's remains. It seems to be very similar to the same escape pod that I rode inside of before. However, this one was different as it seemed to have the exact same robe from the Robanian alien creatures. I examined the robe for a couple of minutes, confused by it. I didn’t remember seeing a Robanian touch down on the planet before.

That's when I felt something moving by me. With the sword, I hold it up in a defensive stance and turn toward the movement. I instantly called out to whoever was moving. "Who's there?" The energy from the sword went into my eyes from within my body. That's when my vision faded into a new form of vision. This time, the ability to see heat signatures.

I saw the silhouette of a large Robanian-like entity nearby. The heat signature of the Robanian also showed me a visible view of its entire body. It didn't seem like a humanoid creature, it was like a large blob of meat. As I stared at it, I dashed toward it and grabbed it by what I thought was its neck.

However, the Robanians slobby mess of a neck formed over my hand. My hand got stuck within the neck, and I saw large magically glowing hands appear and grab me. Still with the sword in my other hand, I use the sword to slice at its magical hands. Instantly, the hands vanished and I reached the sword up to its neck again.

Despite my hand stuck within the goopy skin of the Robanian. I was able to use my sword and the force of my hand to push it down to the ground. The Robanian finally released my hand from its sticky skin. I kept the sword up to its neck, while keeping in control of the sword's energy from disintegrating the Robanian.

"I knew something was up with that note and your cloak. I thought you guys were killed off by the spaceship's destruction a few months back?" The Robanian was quiet for a few minutes, but the sword's energy going through it prompted it to finally speak up.

"A lot of us were, but I escaped before it did." The Robanians voice was just as expected from his previous encounter with them. It was slightly high pitch, but also sounded like what a witch would sound like. "Despite my Headmaster being killed by you, I refuse to give up my purpose for coming here."

"And that is?"

"The downfall of the AzLean Soldier." When it said this, I was set back a little. "You betrayed the demands of losing to our bet. So, I must do what's needed before the grandmaster arrives to clean up the rest."

That name was recognizable, I remembered hearing that from when I was on the spaceship with the others. The grandmaster, what Hank and Hoy said about him got his interest up. "He's not like the others." Hank's voice saying that made me examine the Robanian closely. "What do you mean, clean up the rest?" I ask him with a serious demand.

I could see within the heat signature of the Robanian grin widely. I heard him begin to laugh profusely. "You and your planet are still here. Because our headmaster has failed to destroy it. He's coming here to take care of it himself. Our headmaster sent out a distress call to him before the spaceship was annihilated. He will be here soon." He laughed again.

My eyes widened by this, taking a step back with the sword. Hearing that made my stomach drop in worry. Then, I remembered how long ago the spaceship was destroyed. That made me concerned and curious. "If he's supposed to come here, then where is he? It's been 2 months since then."

"The distress call takes three months of a journey to arrive. I brought you here to warn you of your impending doom. Unfortunately for you, I don't believe you will survive the grandmaster's force. The last wielder of that sword didn't survive for long." Hearing that made me look down to the sword in surprise. I never knew someone held this weapon before me.

After a few minutes of thought, The Robanians grin within the heat vision made me shiver a little. That's when I decided to ask a more simple question. "Where's Peter?"

The Robanian turns toward the escape pod, resulting in me getting curious to investigate. I walked around the escape pod, until I found Peter tied up to the pod. In an instant, I rush over to him and help free him. The Robanian remained where he was and watched me. Once I removed the rope around Peter's mouth, his expression showed absolute delight to see me. "Oh thank goodness, I'm glad to see you."

As soon as he was free, I take the rope and wrap it around the Robanian. Peter watched me as I put the robe around the Robanians body. Making sure that Peter can also see the invisible Robanian. "There, now stay." I tell the Robanian demandingly, which the Robanian compiled without any form of resistance. Almost as if he was accepting defeat.

Peter had fear in his eyes. "You okay?" I ask him, to which he nods in response.

"I'm still a bit shocked from the whole experience of being kidnapped, but yeah. I'm not injured." I nod in response. Peter walks up beside me and does the same. "So, what are you going to do with him?" I stare down at the Robanian, before shrugging.

I begin looking back over to the escape pod, then toward the empty field where my escape pod was months prior. Knowing that my escape pod is gone now, it gave me an idea. However, it wasn't an entirely pleasant idea to think of. "We should take him back to the dorm room. I have to contact somebody who can help."

Peter nods, "Alright, but how will we get back without him getting seen?"

That's when we both heard the sound of a car driving up to us from behind. Peter and I turned around, that's when we saw a familiar gray SUV. The car stopped and its engine shut off, before the driver door opened up. That's when we both saw a familiar person get out. It was Peter's football friend, Reggie.

The other two doors of the SUV opened, revealing the other football pals of Peter. When Reggie was in instant surprise. "Holy shit, there you are Peter! We've been looking all over-." As soon as Peter and the others started to rush over to us. They see the tied up Robanian laying up against the escape pod. They stopped and grew in both fear and surprise. "Woah! What the fuck is that thing?!"

It took several minutes, before they all grew in excitement. The other two took out their phones and began taking screenshots of the Robanian. While Reggie went over to them and started to make snarky comments. At this point, the three of them were entirely focused on the Robanian. That's when I got an idea.

Peter and I glance at each other, and nod to each other. Almost as if we knew what we were both thinking in that exact second. "Hey Reggie, we have a favor to ask you." Peter asked which made Reggie stop what he was doing.

"Uh, yeah. What's up?" That's when I started to slightly grin.
